Dry, but not very comfortable

Norwegian team is, without a doubt, a tough nut to crack. In the game with Norwegians the Swedish girls first missed a ball, then scored and took the lead, but till the end of the first half they nearly lost their advantage – 3:2. The Russian team also took a break, being up 1:0 (the score which didn't make them feel very comfortable).
In the second half the nerves of the Russian supporters calmed down, thanks to the actions of Olga Shirokova, and our girls whitewashed their opponents, but still there are many questions. On Sunday they will play in the final game and the opponents will be far more dangerous, especially because the Russians didn’t succeed in scoring in the preliminary game with the Swedes. To find a key to open their gates on Saturday is the main aim of the head coach of our team, Alexander Mezhuev, and of his assistants, Oksana Pronshina and Galina Mikhailova.
Post-match press conferenceSergei Gusev, the head coach of the Norwegian national team:
- I would like to thank the Russian team for this intensive and emotional game, it was very interesting to meet such an opponent. Of course, we planned to win. The girls gave it their all and the bandy was interesting.
Alexander Mezhuev, the head coach of the Russian national team:
- Today we didn’t realize the plan we had for this game. We didn’t succeed in making a fine and sweepy bandy. I don’t know, what influenced on it: I guess, there are many reasons. For example, the tiredness: it’s really difficult to play 4 times in a day for girls in such an age… Maybe, they were calm after the game with the Finnish team. Well, be that as it may, now we must forget everything and prepare ourselves to the Sunday finals.
