The national team of Japan on hockey has arrived to Irkutsk

On the evening of February 28, the Japanese national bandy team arrived in Irkutsk. The team will take part in the world championship , it will play in group B.

Irkutsk met the guests with frosty -10 °C, but just a few hours ago in Osaka, where the team took off , it was +18°C.

All those who met appreciated the elegant suits and bright ties of the hockey players.

Ilya Reznik, acting Minister of sports of the Irkutsk region:

– We are happy to welcome the Japanese team to the Baikal territory. I hope you will feel the warmth of our hearts in Irkutsk. And, despite the winter, you will feel at home. I wish success to the Japanese team and I think that our fans will love you and support you at matches.

Gen Ishioka, Japan national team coach:

– The trip from Osaka went well. This year at the world Cup, we hope to show a good result. We have a young and ambitious team, and our hockey players are well prepared. We hope to get to the final and win world championship medals.

According to Gene Origins , the main competitors in the fight for the podium, the coaching staff of Japan believes the national team of Hungary, Latvia and Slovakia. The head coach of the Japanese national team – Russian Oleg Ziganshin- will arrive in Irkutsk at midnight.

As reported by Altair, the teams of Mongolia and Hungary arrived in Irkutsk for the world Cup earlier. The national teams of Latvia, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Somalia, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland will arrive on February 29.
